Key Responsibilities

  • Design detailed schematics for motor driver circuits, including power stages, gate drivers, and protection features for BLDC/PMSM motors in robotic joints.
  • Perform PCB layout for multi-layer, optimizing for high-speed signals, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance in motor control applications.
  • Simulate and evaluate circuit performance using tools like Simetrix or Proteus, focusing on motor control waveforms, voltage regulation, and thermal management.
  • Collaborate with control, embedded, and mechanical teams to integrate schematics and layouts with sensors, inverters, and microcontrollers (e.g., STM32).
  • Prototype, assemble, debug, and test motor driver boards, including bench testing for current sensing, switching efficiency, and fault tolerance.
  • Manage BOMs, component libraries in Altium/Orcad, and ensure scalability from design to production for military-grade or high-reliability robotics.
  • Document schematics, layouts, and QC reports; roadmap connector solutions (e.g., USB, FPC) for motor interfaces and exchange with international partners.
  • Prototype, assemble, debug, and test motor driver boards, including bench testing for current sensing, switching efficiency, fault tolerance, CAN BUS/Ethernet data transmission, and MIT Mode tuning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in schematic design and PCB layout for motor control circuits (e.g., PanTilt systems, HMI with motor integration, or power electronics).
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools: Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, KiCad, or Orcad; experience with high-speed, digital, and power circuits.
  • Strong knowledge of motor drivers for BLDC/PMSM, including FOC implementation, power electronics (inverters, chargers), and signal integrity (MIPI, USB, CAN).
  • Good problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with humanoid robotics, exoskeletons, or electric vehicles involving motor drivers (e.g., upgrading PanTilt circuits or BMS designs).
  • Familiarity with standards like IEC/ISO for safety in motorized systems
